Doylestown's first newspaper was printed in a log cabin at this location on July 7, 1804. Since then, the building housing Doylestown's newspaper has been reconstructed or enlarged five times, as recently as 1925. This impressive Victorian brick structure dates to 1876. In 1973 the newspaper moved to its current location on North Broad Street.
