The Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope

The GBT - 485 feet tall, 17 million pounds in weight with a 110 meter diameter reflector - is the world's largest fully steerable telescope. Scientists from around the globe use the GBT to study virtually all types of cosmic objects.
