Sea Nettles at Monterey Bay Aquarium

Sea Nettles are the most abundant jelly off the coast of northern California and Oregon. The grow to more than two feet in diameter with tentacles 10 to 12 feet long. This sea nettle exhibit is the largest of its kind in the world.

The non-profit Monterey Bay Aquarium on Cannery Row is the choice of peers and public alike as the finest aquarium in the nation. Innovative permanent exhibits explore the mysteries of life in the nation's largest marine sanctuary. Special exhibits tell the stories of sea creatures from around the world.

Bachelor and Three Graces

This interesting group of Giant Sequoia trees is located in Yosemite's Mariposa Grove. The Grove contains about 500 mature Giant Sequoia trees spread over 250 acres. The Giant Sequoias are the largest living things on earth and some in this Grove weigh over two million pounds.

John Wayne Airport

Orange County
On June 20, 1979, the Orange County Airport was renamed John Wayne Airport. Sculptor Robert Summers was commissioned by the John Wayne Associates to create a bronze statue of "the Duke" in commemoration of the late actor and true American patriot, John Wayne.
